Halló. I have heard that sometimes when my people go to other countries in flying machines, they meet humans there who ask them what language they speak.

When this happens, my people say that they speak “Icelandic”.

Then, the humans they are talking to become very surprised in their faces, and say “Reallý? You have your own language? Vá, this is very amazing to me.” Sometimes they also say “I do not believe that you have your own language. You must be shitting me.*”

Then my people get very upset and stop talking.

Other humans know all about my people’s language. For example Penno and Zuzu, who are coming to visit me in a flying machine this summer. They have even bought this book about it.
